5 Months Old

We have a lot to catch up on from such an awesome weekend! Ginger, Bob and Bumpa all came out to see Jack and Summer! We'll post pics of those adventures on the family blog shortly, but it was a long weekend and I need to get to sleep. But, today is Jack's 5 month birthday, so, fo course, I HAVE to get up at least a quick little post!

So, from one of our outings, here is me and Jack sitting at the cliff dwellings, overlooking the canyon under Pike's Peak, near Manitou Springs.

Good Eats!

Wednesday was the first day Jack ate his rice cereal well. He ate with Mommy earlier in the day, and then again later with Daddy. He actually was opening his mouth and being happy eating food! This is in stark contrast to the last few times where we'd put some in and then have to put in a bottle to help wash it down, or he'd start screaming.

So, now Jack can start eating a little every day... Yay!

4 Month Doc...

The appt was a little late, busy doctor! But Jack got in there today and we found out his stats:

Length: 25 3/4" (70%-tile)
Weight: 16# 12oz. (70%-tile)
Head Circ: 17 3/4" (95%-tile)

So, yeah, he's on the biggish side. The doc says he "should" be flipping over by now...he's not, but his alertness and attentiveness is on track, and possibly advanced...whatever that means, eh, Jacky? You definitely know what's going on around you...now, if you could just start rolling over...or sitting up...maybe because he's big and does get as much time to practice...although Summer does try to help! :-)



That looks a bit rough, and it was..but she kissed him, so he was OK. She rolls him better usually, that was just all I could catch on film.

We're trying to sit him up in his high chair a bit more...


Which is good for two things, he plays with his toys, and then Summer is good and doesn't try to jump into the chair.

And of course, we're still trying to get him to eat.

Without much success still. So, we try and then wait a few days and try again...
