Jacky's 6 Month Stats

So, Jess took Jack to the doctor on Friday to get his 6 month shots. He did all right, but, he does not like getting them. The doc took all his measurements, as usual and here is the info.

Head: 18.25" >95%-tile
Height: 27.25" 80%
Weight: 18# 7.2 oz 75%

So, here he is, as beautiful as ever!

Lookin' Good! So, ahh, yeah, he's still a big boy! Check out that head size. Some adults don't have heads that big! Haha. But, no problems, just a big head, the skull gap is closing nicely and there's nothing to worry about. Healthy baby boy!

So, we've been feeding him more and more every day. He loves his peas, bananas, squash, and mixed veggies. And just yesterday we gave him his first ever wagon wheel.

Yummy Wagon WheelAnd to show how well he's doing, check out the video, he's feeding himself!

He holds onto his bottles, too. But that's a bit tough for him sometimes, as they can slip out of his hands, but he sure tries. Along with grabbing the spoon when we feed him his food. So, that's about that. Til next time.

Happy 6 Months!

So, here's Jack from earlier today...what a cutie!

Jack says HiAnd here's a few more pics to check out. Him playing in the house outside, checking out Summer across the table.

Hi Summer, What's Up?And then looking up and posing for the camera.

Hi Everyone! Here's the little man after a bath in his monkey towel.

Ahhhh...Comfy CozyAnother pic, just of him hanging out and being happy (as normal).

Ever Smiley BoyAnd last pic is this one, another of Jack lying by Summer...and in this one, doesn't Jack look MUCH BIGGER than in this first comparison? Heck, he almost looks as large as Summer.

Jack is Growin'So, that's a few of his latest pics. He's slowed down growing a bit, but he's still big. He goes into the doc this Friday, so we'll get more measurements and percentages.

Jack is still waking between 1 and 3 times a night. More often 1 or 2...so that's good, limiting the 3 times a night nights. He's eating more and more, and we're trying to be consistent with that. Soon we'll do the tough-luv and not feed him in the middle of the night, and hopefully get him to sleep through the night.

Notice in the pics above that Jack can sit up, with just a bit of support. He's getting pretty close to sitting up and can roll over from back to front, and once in a while from front to back. Another month and I'm guessing he'll be rolling all over and sitting up just fine. After that, uh-oh, he'll start scooting around and crawling.

Can it really already be 6 months? Yikes and AWESOME! Jack is such a good boy. Happy Month Day, Jack!

Happy May

May is here, and Jack is happy as ever!!!!

Jack is Ever SmilingHe's nearly 6 months old and he's finally eating pretty well. We give him cereal twice a day. Which sometimes helps with his sleeping, but not always. He's still not rolling over, yet. He can sometimes roll from back to front, but I think he's only rolled from front to back once, maybe. That's what he really needs to be able to do. Along with sitting up. He can sit up well enough with a little support, and doesn't fall forward when in his highchair to eat, so he's getting there. But he is getting very talkative. He babbles constantly and "says" "Ella" and "Dadda" among other babbles.

OK, that's our update for this weekend. We'll try to keep it more consistent for a little while. Have a super day!
