Jackson is on his way...

To being mobile that is...The past couple of mornings we have gone to get Jackson out of bed only to find him standing in his crib. We managed to get a quick picture and a short video of the event.




He is also starting to reach for things and ending up on all fours. Here is a video of him trying to crawl/scoot to get a block. Before you know it he will be mobile.



And lastly these are just some random pictures showing just how cute little Jacky is (as if we didn't already know that).

Jackson's 9th Month Check Up

Well our little man isn't all off the charts anymore at least in weight and his head. He weighed in at 20 pounds, 5 ounces which put him at 55% on the growth chart. And his head is now just 95%. But there is a reason he probably hasn't gained any weight. . . he is 30.5 inches tall which puts him at <95% for height!! The doctor predicts he is gonna be a tall strapping young man because she says feet can be an indicator of height. We'll never know which side of the family that comes from since the Griffin and the Breneman clan have some tall people. Gigi predicts he will be over 6 feet, probably closer to 6 foot, 3 inches or so. We'll see.

Also there are 4 teeth coming in on top...the front two are poking through and the two on each side of them are getting ready to break through.

He is starting to eat solids cut up into small pieces and now we can start weening him off of formula since the doc said he can start drinking regular old milk at 10 months. Yippee!!

Now we just gotta get the little monkey head mobile...

Happy Nine Months

Well Jackson is now officially a whole nine months old. We go to the doctor's tomorrow so I am sure he will do a quick post after the appointment with his stats. We think he is finally slowing down and won't be so off the charts this time (well with the exception of his head). He has two bottom teeth that are fully in and it looks like two or three on the top that are starting to come through. He is still sitting great but still no crawling. If you sit near him he grabs at you and tries to climb but that is about it. He is eating finger foods pretty good and really loves those fruit puffs.

Here are a couple pictures of his recent antics. The first is of him in his walker which he is finally starting to like. The second is of him and Summer hanging out while Daddy cooks some dinner.

Jacky Does Daycare

Well I think we finally have things situated for Jackson as far as daycare goes. He started yesterday at Summer's daycare. She was very excited that Jacky was going to be in the baby room. Here they both are ready to head on out.

From the look on his face, I think he likes daycare so far.
