Bye To Another Blog

Jack, this is your last personal blog post. Following this, you're stuck with sharing with Mommy, Daddy and Summer. We hope you get a kick out of this in, what, 20 years before you appreciate something like this? :-)

What a year, huh? At least you only lived in one house this whole time, unlike Summer's whirlwind first year, huh? We think you liked it. You keep smiling all the time. Except when those teeth come in. I don't think we'l ever forget those first EIGHT teeth. Four at once was just crazy then a month later four more? No sleep. But you're doing a lot better now. One year old and starting to take a step here or there. We still are looking forward to more to come. And talking...we can tell you're thirsty a little, and you're saying Ella, Momma and Dadda, but not much else...If you didn't run(crawl) around getting into everything we'd think you're lazy...but no, you are quite the busy body.

We wish we had your energy so we could have taken more pictures and written more about your first year. A lot happened and we got most of the big points on this and the family blog, which of course you'll also get.

You are the best son we could have ever asked for! We love you and look forward to when you are running around with Summer and chatting up a storm! Here's one last picture for you to remember. It is of 3 of the 4 generations around today. We'll visit your Great Grandpa early next year. Until then, here the three of us are.

Jack, Erick (Daddy) and Mark (Grandpa)Well, that's it, my boy. We hope your second and all coming years are as filled with fun and laughter as your first!

Mommy and Daddy love you! xoxox

Grandpa Mark and Grandma Debs Visit

Hey all...I know, I know, this post was a long time coming. Dad and Deb showed up for the Thanksgiving Holiday. How about that, Jack (and Summer, of course) got to see both sets of daddy's side grandparents for the holidays!!! And they're going to see Jess' parents for the actual Christmas holidays. Saweet!!!

So, without too much further ado, here are some pics. First things first...when they showed up, it was a little early and the kids were not awake. But when we got Jack up, the first thing we did was put him in Grandpa's arms.

Hi Grandpa, Nice to meet ya!And then a little bit later, after he ate, because you KNOW how Jacky gets when he doesn't eat right away in the morning...he got to get up close and say hi to Debbi, too.

Hi Grandma! One thing Jack ended up doing a LOT with Grandpa is playing with the Tiggers. Grandpa just loved the Tigger's!

T-i-DOUBLE-ge-errrrrrAnd, of course, he also played with the blocks...

Let's Build a FortAnd Jack like's to share, even if he can't always reach far enough, d'oh!

Here Grandpa...OoopsAnd, of course, Summer's gotta get in on the act, and she helped build and played with Jack and Grandpa, too.

Can I play, too?The other big thing we did was hold another little XMas party. Here is the XMas tree all loaded with gifts.

Jack and Everyone Else's GiftsAnd, yep, Jack figured out how to open the gifts, after getting some tips from Summer.

What's in Here? So, that's about it. Jack got to celebrate his birthday a couple of times and already has had a few XMases.

Next trip is to Jess' parents, that'll be another good time! Only one more post to go here, though!

Jackson's Birthday Celebrations

As you all know Bob came in to town to visit for Jackson's birthday. So on Friday (his actual birthday) we went to the Denver Aquarium (see pics on family blog) and had a little birthday celebration that night. Jackson got to open some presents and blow out his candle on his cupcake.

He really loved us singing "Happy Birthday" and getting to blow out his candle.

And they both LOVED getting to eat their chocolate cupcakes!

And for his birthday bash on Saturday with family and neighbors, Jackson had a Tonka party! Here are Daddy and Jack sitting pretty right before the festivities began.

We had a great cake made at Walmart with the Tonka theme in mind.

Daddy was on hand to help Jackson blow out the candle on his cake.

And what would a party be without opening of presents!

As for milestones in Jackson's life, he did take his first "official" steps on the Friday after Thanksgiving...so I guess walking will be coming in the next month or so!

1 Year Stats

Hey all, this is one of the last few posts we're going to have on Jack's alone blog. Today he had his 1 year appointment, and we "knew" he's gotten "smaller" percentage-wise for his age.

Weight: 22.5 pounds, that's 60% (was 20lbs 5oz, about 55%)
Height: 30.75 inches, that's still 80% (was 30.5, about 95%)
Head: 19.25 inches, and that's still above 95%.(Was also about 95%)

But, looking at the data he's really not that much smaller, only his height stayed about the same and went down %-age-wise.

OK, we'll put up a few more pics from his BDay party and from my Dad/Deb (Andy's) visit over the Thanksgiving weekend. 'Nite.
